It was so phenomenal !! I don't know where to start with what a horrible airline they are... Like I have traveled A LOT in my life and my view is "United Airline is pretty good", and TAP is just abysmal. </p> <p>But I think Portugal would be *amazing*, I've never been outside the airport, sadly. I'm a huge fan of Southern France but might take longer to get to. Iceland is very quick and easy to get to from the east coast and if you like nature stuff you will love it. That time of year screams harvest time to me. There are some great festivals in France and Italy that time of year. Just shy of 5 hour flight from NY I believe. It'll be a little on the cooler side (think late fall/early winter temps), but it's just beautiful, and in Sept/Oct, you may even see the northern lights. The first time we went was in Sept and it quickly became one of our favorite places ever. It's starting to get cool enough that they sell mulled wine in the streets, but not cold enough for real coats, and it's incredibly beautiful. My in-laws are going to watch LO for about a week so we can celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We live in California but they live in NY and want to watch her there. Looks like late September or October will work best. I’m not sure where to go that time of year. We want something special! Was thinking Portugal but not sure if we’d just feel like we spent all our time traveling. And Caribbean seems like a no-go because of hurricanes. We like the outdoors and beautiful scenery but also would be open to a cool city. We’ve been to every east coast city so not interested in that, though. Any ideas? We’ll have 6 nights probably. Thanks so much! </p>
