My son is 18 months and our friends LO is 19 months... Ultimately we weren't sure there were enough activities in OBX. But I think Hilton head would be fantastic!!!!</p> <p>I love block island - it's very small, and not a ton to do, but that may be more your style. I think a week there could be too long - seems like the perfect long weekend spot. We took our kids when they were 2 and 4. My 2 yr old didn't do a whole lot - but my 4 yr old had fun!</p> <p>Sand dunes - might be hard for a 19 month old but you could try it!</p> <p>Wright brother memorial - makes for a nice walk to see the memorial and plane</p> <p>Kitty hawk kites - fun time to just walk around and look</p> <p>Pea Island NWF is down the road - cool trails and bird watching</p> <p>Cape Hatteras - about an hour away - nice drive, stop at Pea Island on the way. Kids wont be able to go in lighthouse but its a great place to walk around and the gift shop is cool!</p> <p>On the other side of town is Manteo - Alligator River NWF is down there - cool trails again. Maybe around labor day for a week. The options we are considering are Hilton Head, SC, Outer Banks (maybe Emerald Isle?), or Block Island. Our kids will be around 19.5 months by the time we go. Anyone been to any of these places with little ones? Do you think there is one we definitely should do over the others? Love any input thanks! </p>
