@anacarlin - i'm scared now! we plan on taking a family trip to san diego this coming weekend. we haven't done this since DD was an infant, but now she's a mobile 20-month toddler and we only have a baby bjorn pack 'n play (i don't even know if it's long enough for her). i have no idea how she'll sleep, but we plan to bring all her loveys and hope that she sleeps through the night!

@littlecasita1122: @artbee: we never do a "routine". She usually gets fussy, we swaddle her, turn on sleep sheep and leave her awake/drowsy and she's out. We did that as normal but just kept waking up.

@Sammyfab: I think it was because the house smelled differently than ours. Same with PnP because that AA borrowed too. So maybe my LO needed more of my smell?

We went on vacation when LO was 4 months and the first night the pack and play was at the foot of my bed and he woke up sooo much that night. I think it was because he could smell me. After that night we moved him to the bathroom and we all slept so much better! Now whenever we travel he gets his own room or he sleeps in the bathroom! :p

My guy's sleep got horrible at 4.5 months and we weren't on vacation. It might be the 4 month sleep regression.

We also try to stick to the routine and everything as close to home as we can. Do you use blackout blinds? Noise machine? Is there a bed time routine that you do?

We got back from vacation a couple weeks ago and used the pack n' play for sleeping arrangements. He did pretty well in it, but did wake up an hour or two earlier than he normally does (usually sleeps from 9PM-3AM, eats, back to sleep until 7 and he was getting up around 1:30AM and 6AM instead).

I just tried to make sure his sleep routines were as similar to home as we could make it - so we brought his swaddle blankets, his white noise machine, a night light. For the most part, it worked.

We just got back from DD's first vacation at 4.5 months old! We rented an Airbnb and brought a pack n play and a SnuggleNest co-sleeper incase she refused. Well, she refused both of them.

My perfect little 11 hour straight sleeper woke. up. every. hour. oh. my. god. SO TIRED.

her whole demeanor seemed fussy and discontent most of the trip. but as soon as we got home yesterday she couldn't stop laughing and smiling! So weird! And she only woke up once at 3am (just put her paci back in) after going to bed at 7 and woke up for good this morning at 6:30.

We're going to the east coast to celebrate Christmas with my family for 9 days and I'm terrified that the same thing will happen but may even be worse with the time change!

Did this happen with anyone else's LO? Any tips?
