I've noticed that my no longer napping at home son will nap while on vacation, especially if we're at a place like WDW where there is a lot of walking.

eta: We always do a suite where we can, even though it's just the three of us. When it's not possible and all of us have to be in one room, we institute "quiet time."

Or, maybe look into taking the non napper to the pool at that time?

It's not a vacation if we don't have a separate bedroom and living space! I haven't actually gone anywhere with two kids but I imagine we will do the same as the others- someone takes the non napper out somewhere. But when we went on vacation with our one also I insisted that we have a separate bedroom so we could stay up at night and not be tip toeing around.

Car naps and we rent houses with at least 3 bedrooms so everyone has the same sleeping arrangement as at home.

One of us took the one who naps back to the room to sleep and the other one stayed out and about with the one who didn't nap (went to beach, out shopping, out for lunch, to the playground, etc.)

For longer vacations we usually go a home or condo route so we have more than one bedroom. But, when it's hotels and just for a night or two we try to make one room work, even though it can be tricky. Those two room suites are usually sooo pricey!

B doesn't nap with us, only at school. But D naps twice a day. I've noticed on vacation D will skip first nap and take one long afternoon nap. Last time, DH would take B out to the pool or other places while I stayed in the room with D. We get rooms with suites so D can be in her own space.

What do you do when one kid naps and the other does not on vacation? Do a two room suite? Let the one who naps nap on the go or in the hotel? Thanks!
