I don’t expect a gift either. </p> <p>I definitely went overboard from the usual on kid treats this year. Candy hearts, a stuffed animal (since both older kids have been wanting a certain one) and a fun book each. We've done this every year starting at her in home daycare when she was 2... she LOVES it and gets sooo excited. She feels so special. My in laws are watching the kids so for like only the second time ever we are going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day! We snagged a last minute 5 pm reservation haha!</p> <p>As for what I’m giving DW, I usually do fancy handmade truffles from a local place. Last year she was on mat leave and I had chocolate dipped Oreos delivered at home while I was at work (I think someone on here suggested it!) and they were awesome! Sometimes I do custom cupcakes too as there’s a great shop down the road down my work. Last year I did a Beer-quet using cupcake liners to make 'flowers' of beer bottles. I've also made a "Love Potion" label for a bottle of Jack Daniels. This year DH isn't drinking alcohol so need some new ideas! </p>
