Ok, just finished. I feel like the article was mostly a rehashing of everything that happened this past year -- I don't feel like I really got anything new from it, which kind of makes me wonder what the point was... I also feel like many of the issues discussed are wider issues that apply to college campuses as a whole. The treatment of both sex and race on college campuses is something that I think really needs to be examined, but I worry that all of the singular focus on U.Va. means that discussion won't happen on a larger scale. It makes it too easy for other campuses to brush it aside, like, "Oh, thank goodness that stuff happened somewhere else and not here..."

Fellow Hoo here! I hadn't heard about this article but will definitely read. Thanks for sharing! Feeling a bit apprehensive given the subject matter...I've been pretty sad to see how the school has been portrayed recently. I know it's far from perfect, but I love U.Va. and it really has not been a great year :-/

It's been a rough year for UVa and the Cville community all around. Any other Hoos out there read this article?

http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2015/09/university-of-virginia-most-horrible-year

I could not stop reading about the whole Rolling Stone article debacle! And all the rest is so, so sad.
