Those can cause searing pain and take some time to be removed, as well. I never had it while nursing but would get them afterwards. Mine turned out to be an artifact of DS getting lazy with his latch. I thought it was fine but i noticed a lump towards the nipple so i massaged it during feedings. The next day my nipple was in sooo much pain! It's been a few days now and i cringe every time LO nurses. It will get a little better once she starts nursing but it's still painful by the time she's done.</p> <p>Any insight on what it could be, and whether it will just go away on its own? </p>
