They are one of the groups I've been looking into. They have a really high VBAC success rate, something like 90%! Unfortunately, yeah they don't accept insurance...bummer. I think I'll do an initial appointment with them and one with a doctor that takes my insurance.</p> <p>@ElbieKay: I do live in NYC, but NJ would be super inconvenient for me. Is it an option to commute to NJ? I live in Hoboken and switched from a Manhattan doctor to one affiliated with a NJ hospital. My original doctor was affiliated with a hospital that subjected to being "checked" in triage before admission, and of course did not have private postpartum rooms as standard care. And the "tub" in their birthing center was so small I could not imagine it being even remotely helpful.</p> <p>I had a great experience in NJ and was so glad that I switched. They have a great success rate, but are funny with insurance. Has anyone had a successful VBAC in NYC? I had a c-section with my daughter and just found out I'm pregnant. I would really like to avoid another c-section as I had a very bad experience. I would like to maximize my chances by finding a midwife/OB that is VBAC friendly and supports natural birth. Anyone have any recommendations in the area? I felt very pushed into induction, pitocin, and c-section with my prior OB. </p>
