For gluten free, you could do caprese skewers:

does everything have to be vegan? or can you just have a few vegan selections for your SIL? my thought on a quick fix for sandwiches would be to do mini sandwich type things on cucumber slices - that's an easy way to get around the bread issue. also, you could always get rice crackers instead of bread. other options..could you do an antipasto plate? not sure if that suits your ideas, but you could do olives, roasted peppers, grilled portabella mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, etc.? i'm thinking you could maybe add some cheese as well for variety but on a separate plate so the vegan can eat everything else...and then maybe a salad?

Oh I just thought of one that could work. Devilled eggs, at least for the gluten free people. Is that a halfway low tea-ish food?

I want to plan a full tea party for friends and family at my house. However, many people I know are gluten intolerant, and one of my sisters-in-law not only eats gluten-free but is also vegan!

I can make gluten and dairy free scones and dessert options, but what would be a good substitute for finger sandwiches that still suits afternoon tea, besides soup and cheese and crackers?
