Thanks ladies! And good call on getting two sets -- I usually use 9 jumbo velcro rollers (and honestly would rather use 10-11, but I bought a set of 9, so oh well!). Most of the hot roller sets I have seen have only 3-4 in that size. I'll have to look harder for the large-only, or just buy two!

I'm obsessed with my hot rollers, I've used them every day for about 4 years. I do my makeup and get dressed while they're in, and by the time i'm done with that i take them out and my hair is set! love them.

Got mine from target, about $25 for the set if i remember right

ETA: the best feature is that the clips that hold them on also have metal on them, so that gets hot, too when they're warming up and then when you roll them there is heat from both sides and it really sets the hair better.

i have two set of the conair jumbo got rollers (i have a lot of hair, and even with 2 sets i couldn't do my whole head, 3 would have been better, but now my hair is shorter so i could probably get away with 2). my only suggestion is to get clips to hold them rather than the U pins they come with.

I've gotten my hair tangled in Velcro rollers like 100 times. Then I end up cutting a large chunk of hair out. So my opinion is hot rollers!

Hot rollers! I've always just bought them at Target or Walmart... Conair, or whatever is a decent price. If you're just after volume you'll want larger rollers. They sell large only sets, but there are fewer rollers per set, so you may need two.

Which do you prefer? Any brand suggestions for hot rollers? I have long, fine hair and lately I've been using large velcro rollers for volume... I like the end result but I feel like I have to leave them in forever, and even then it doesn't last all day. Maybe hot rollers would be easier and the volume would last longer?

Any thoughts/suggestions??
