In my first trimester, I immediately put on weight from head to toe . . . almost overnight, my hips/thighs/booty spread, my upper arms/boobs got a little bigger, and my belly was bloated, but there was no discernable bump. If I didn't wear a baby doll type shirt, I totally just looked really chubby. Maybe you could check out Old Navy or Motherhood Maternity for a maternity tankini or something like that? If it's designed for pregnant moms, maybe it will make you look more pregnant? I got a one piece from Old Navy and it's worked great. Very comfortable and it will definitely last me (and my chest) through delivery.</p> <p>And my last piece of advice is to say "who cares" about the beach. You and DH know you've got a very special package inside and if others are going to judge you because they think you've had too much pizza and beer, well then phooey to them! At just about 14 weeks, a bikini is my enemy. They are literally taking over the world, and they let out an audible chuckle every time I open the drawer that reveals all of my little triangle bikini tops. </p> <p>So after that little vent session (sorry!) You know, the pretty kind that it seems like everyone has but me.</p> <p>I know there's a thread about when did you start to show, but if I cup my belly in clothes, I "show" a little, so I think that's different because you can "show" and still kind of have a pizza belly instead of a pregnant belly?
