I would be mad too. I teach school and a few parents send their kids sick ALL the time..like with a fever sick. Our rule is fever free for 24 hrs. without the help of meds. Often they will give them a tylenol and send them on their way. It doesn't help anyone when you do that! I often wonder what people are thinking?! My friend walks in my door with a box of tissues and some OJ and says she has been sick all week but didn't want to cancel. Um really? I would rather you have canceled. But anyway, so we proceed with the play date. It turns out that her two kids had runny noses, too, so there was a whole bunch of snot wiping. And then come Saturday, who has a runny nose? My DD of course!!! So far it's just a runny nose for the last 3 days but I am annoyed anyway. Please don't try and be polite and not cancel play dates if you are sick. Just reschedule. Thanks.
