It's a beautiful and comfortable space. The food was great. There was no other fee which most places have for bigger parties. My friend who co-hosted and I did a ton of research (she is a food writer so pretty good at that sort of thing) and it was the least expensive of all the pretty places we looked at by quite a bit. It is an old school Italian place, not trendy at all. But the food is excellent, reasonable priced, they have a private room and the staff is super nice. They also have valet parking bc parking down there is awful. Lark Cafe: <a href="http://www.larkcafe.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.larkcafe.com/</a> - we rented out the whole cafe, and it wasn't super expensive. They let you bring in your own catering, if you want, or you can order from them. We moved out of NYC a year ago, and I am totally at a loss for potential venues that won't end up costing $1000. Guest list is still TBD but I'm guessing 15-30 people total. I know the bees will have some brilliant suggestions for places to consider. She's in Park Slope, FWIW but I'd be open to other areas for a good deal. </p>
