We like the idea of having 4 cameras. One in each kids room and one in the playroom. Not sure where we'd put the 4th one. But I think as the kids grow it will be nice to be downstairs cooking, etc. and be able to see them in any room they are in upstairs.<br /> We have the AngelCare with the mat that detects their breathing. I think I will use it for the newborn and use the Optix in my toddlers room and playroom for now. Then change out the newborn's camera system when he is older. I like the peace of mind of having the mat. We've had it for over two years now and like it. The battery life doesn't last very long, but we mostly keep it plugged in anyway. I like that you can add/remove cameras to it, so now we have two cameras: one for each kid. And I find the temperature sensor VERY helpful. We knew our upstairs ran hot, but not the level that the temperature indicated it did (August baby). I was probably just a crazy FTM, but anything above 74 degrees made me super nervous (SIDS risk) and I would go in there and turn up his fan and crank up the AC. We've been very happy with it and really like the VOX mode where it turns off if there is no sound or movement. We also like that we can add additional cameras. Is that even useful?! Help!! </p>
