It has night vision and the sound only comes on if there's a noise in the room (so we don't have to listen to LO's white noise through the monitor all night). I'm not particularly tech-savvy either, and the software install was tricky, as well as linking it onto the wireless/our phones when off the network. You may be able to get it cheaper. It does come with bells and whistles. I have looked at other threads on this but can't find an answer.</p> <p>So I am looking for a video monitor that doesn't cost a kajillion dollars, I really just want it to do the basics, be able to hear my baby and see that he is not swinging off the rafters. Color, zooming, panning and all the rest aren't important.</p> <p>I have been reading reviews on amazon and online and I have yet to find one that most people are happy with that is reasonably priced. Reasonable to me on this is under $120.<br /> If anyone loves thiers, I would love to hear about it!! </p>
