You need that so you can get a public IP. Once that is set you must use the private IP when you're on your home network and the public IP when you're away. I had to call support to get it all figured out. There are settings to make it very secure. I'm not worried about it. </p> <p>@macintosh: I agree that it is annoying to set up. We actually only recently set them up and are having issues accessing them remotely/when we aren't on our wifi. Did you have this issue? I know this is fixable but we haven't had to address it. I bought a 2 pack online for around $150 I think. It's more of a security camera but your hubs can look at them (and speak through them) at work/on his phone.
