But in reality, the only time he would've been able to see her would be when she's napping. We have a motorola one (for 2 yrs now) and it works great. For a newborn, I would still get the Motorola again. I much preferred having an actual monitor that was on at all times. The foscam app on my phone kills my battery. But everything we looked at, it seems like the apps that go along with it just don't work that great, etc.</p> <p>I thought I wanted the Motorola but after comparison we went with Ovia 4.3" PTZ. However, I'm not entirely sure which Foscam camera to consider. Is my understanding correct that Foscam cameras are IP cameras (accessible even when you're not home, but can be prone to hacking?) whereas the Motorola MBP36 is great quality, but it's wifi based around your home only?</p> <p>Which do you think is better? Which do you prefer (if you've tried both?) </p>
