The ones from my phone, I started uploading mine to Vimeo. They're also saved in my Dropbox. The ones from my real camera are saved on my computer hard drive. I REALLY need to get better about having everything in one place. Right now stuff feels like it's all over the place. I should upload all the ones on my computer to Vimeo, too.

@Adira: Thanks for the reminder! I need to be better about using an external hard drive. I don't know what I would do if the computer crashed and we lost all these videos!

@Jenn23: I don't know how either! Or even what sort of DVD to look for.

We have all of ours on a back-up external drive, but I really want to put them on a dvd. (The favorites) I have no idea how to do it, so that's why it hasn't been done yet. :)

I'm currently just storing my videos on my computer and on an external hard drive as backup! And some of the good ones are on youtube, haha.

@Raindrop: Thank you for the feedback! That does make sense about the quality appearing different on a larger screen.

If you transferred them with a cable (from your iphone to your mac) the quality should be kept in tact. The only thing is your iphone screen is way smaller compared to your mac screen so the appearance of quality might seem way better on the iphone because of that and maybe what you are thinking of.

I think storing it on your mac is fine but I would also put on something external like a dvd or external drive or on a cloud / website so just in case something happens to you mac that you have a back up somewhere. :)

I have so many special video moments of LO stored on my iPhone (right after she was born, first steps, etc!). My storage is full so I transferred some of them to my Mac, although some of them seemed to lose their quality in the transfer. From there, do you make DVDs of your videos, or do you just keep them stored on the computer? Any recommendations for a totally not tech savvy bee? I loved watching home videos as a kid and want to do the same for my family!
