We stopped the drops when we switched to formula, but I'm not sure what the answer is if you're doing half and half. Maybe vit d drops every other day?

When we were primarily formula fed, he said it wasn't necessary because the formula had all the vitamins they needed, but I think we still used them when it was half and half. I'd just check with your ped next time you're in for an appointment.

When she was on 1/2 and 1/2 I still gave her a drop bc we live in a cold dreary climate so I figured the extra couldn't hurt

Now that she is on all formula I don't give her the drops anymore

My ped told me I didn't have to do Vitamin D drops if she was FF - I never noticed it wasn't the recommended daily value. If your baby is going to get any weekly sun exposure (I think I saw just a 15 minute exposure twice a week is enough?) then I wouldn't worry about it.
Or, I guess you could always call the ped's office... haha

I am transitioning my EBF to 1/2 BM and 1/2 Formula (going back to work, low supply, only able to pump 1x a day). I have been given her Vit D drops (per ped), do FF babies get vit d drops also? I read the makeup of her formula and I know there is some Vit d in it but not the daily requirement.
