He thinks it does lol. Now that we have Amazon Prime I am greeted with a new box every other day when I arrive home. He even bought a Groupon watch. Maybe that's why he bought Betpnce concert tickets for me.

Eh, my husband makes way more money than I do, and plus (if I'm really honest), he manages money way better than I do...so on the rare circumstances he wants to buy something expensive for himself (a new camera lens or even a new car), I just tell him to go for it.

Because I know him well enough to know that he'll go through his usual cycle: research the shiz out of it, look for the best deal, waiver back-and-forth about whether or not to buy it, feel guilty, decide not to buy it, find a good deal, whip out his south asian bargaining skills, get 20% off, buy it.

HAhahahahahaa.... that's pretty funny. We are weird I guess in that we both love expensive electronic gadgets, video games, etc., so purchases like that usually are for both of us! I do balance out his NES game buying (yeah, the OLD games) with books for me and clothes, though!

Usually if one of us gets something we let the other spend the same amount for themselves. We've always done this!

Haha, I doubt he has ever thought of it like that but DH's hobby (which involves a lot of expensive, bulky equipment that he leaves around the house and its too heavy for me to move) is also his second job. So while I hate all his boy toys lying about and seeing that he has been looking online for more of it, I can't complain - its pretty good when he suddenly has a wad of cash in his pocket a week before pay day!! That's my WAF!

LOL at the definition. No, but he runs his purchases by me beforehand. No need to spend double the $$ to get what he wants. Sometimes he has to wait, but it's better for us to talk it out.

WAF = Wife Acceptance Factor (or Spouse Acceptance Factor)

My DH found this on one of his forums (usually tech/media related) and they use acronyms like this forum does a lot from the male point of view, and WAF was a big one.

I like this quote from the definition on wikipedia: "...husbands should balance their large and ugly electronic acquisitions with gifts to the wife made on the basis of similar expense, with opera tickets, jewelry and vacations abroad among the suggestions."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wife_acceptance_factor

Does your husband factor in your acceptance factor in his purchases? Does buying you things help offset his own toys?
