What type of work do you do? I'm an editor for a publishing company, a freelance editor, and a writer looking to get published.

How did you find your job? I've been writing seriously (with the intent to submit a manuscript to literary agents within a set amount of time) since last summer. I found my editing job through the online writing community. I'm just getting started with freelancing.

Approx. how many hours per week do you work? It can range from 20 - 50 hrs, depending on how many book projects I'm juggling.

How is the pay? Do you receive any benefits (EX: health insurance)? Payment with my current company is royalty based. I receive a fixed percentage of every book sale where I was the editor. I don't have any benefits at this point.

Do you like being a WAHM? I don't have to chase kids yet, but I love being at home and managing my own time. It's fantastic! I really hated doing the 9-5 grind. Now I have the freedom (and support from DH) to pursue my publishing dreams. I don't make much money yet, but I have the potential to make a lot more than I would if I was locked into a salary. And I don't need to take a work hiatus for kids.

First of all, I apologize if there's already a post asking this question! I did a search, but didn't find anything...

It seems like there are quite a few WAHMs on Hellobee. It sounds like such an ideal work situation, but I don't know much about how to look for such a position.

For WAHMs, I'm curious:
- What type of work do you do?
- How did you find your job?
- Approx. how many hours per week do you work?
- How is the pay? Do you receive any benefits (EX: health insurance)?
- Do you like being a WAHM?
