Like @mrs. wagon, I tried to make it work after I had my LO but it was impossible. The first month wasn't bad, but then my LO ended up being a crap napper.
I voted 10-15 hours but I ultimately had to decide between quitting or working from home.

I work part time at home. It is contract work for another business so I basically have a deadline to finish my work. A deadline about every 3 months or so. I try and work when LO is napping so it's usually only about 2-3 hours a day. I could wake up early and do it before she gets up or when DH is still at home but I usually choose sleep. The ODD day she will let me open up my laptop and do a little work but most days I just cannot get away with it. We have actually enrolled our LO into casual daycare so if we really need a day to get stuff done, we book her in.

I tried doing this before going back to work (I was a SAHM for 18 months) but miserably failed. I'm horrible at meshing work and home. I'm fantastic at multitasking at work, and multitasking at home, but mixing the two is disastrous for both. I was so much happier when I went back to going into an office for work.

I didn't vote in the poll since I only worked from home for a few months before dropping my freelance work for a 4 day a week contract gig in the office, But I worked at nights and on the weekends but it completely took away any family time.

I work 40-45 hours a week and my LOs are in daycare FT. I work about 1 hour every night after they go to sleep at 7.

I wish I could keep them home but I am always on the phone and I can't have crying (and other noises) in the background.

Following ! I'm leaving my job in two weeks and I may start working from home. I'm thinking I'll work evenings after DS goes to bed, weekends, and I might consider either hiring our old nanny to come for a few hours each week and/or having my grandma watch him a few hours each week. For me I want to mainly be a SAHM so I would plan to only work 10-15 hours each week.

I'm now on mat leave with my 2nd, but I have been a WAHM for almost three years. I work 25-30 hours per week. LO1 started daycare at 2 years, but only half days. He started full time at 2.5 years. I worked all of the above: during naps, evenings, any time DH was home and weekends. Pretty much any time I had available time. The biggest challenge before LO1 was in daycare was having to prioritize between taking care of him and meeting deadlines. I felt like I didn't have much me time since any free time was spent working.

Following-- this will be me! I WAH full time. The current plan post-maternity leave is for me to put LO in daycare 3 days/week and try to get as much as possible done those three days then the other 2 days WAH with LO and try to work during naps..

Before I had my LO 6 months ago, I worked part-time. When I went on maternity leave, it was originally going to be 12 weeks, but my boss was *EXTREMELY* flexible and we decided to leave my return open ended. It has now been 6 months and he is suggesting that maybe I do contract work instead of strict part-time. This would mean I could work from home instead of putting LO in daycare, which would be amazing - I could still take care of her and bring in some much needed bucks. I'm trying to decide if/how to make it work and how many hours I can reasonably expect to put in a week.

For the WAHMs out there, how many hours do you work a week? Do you work during naps, after your SO comes home, or on weekends? What is the most challenging thing for you?

Thanks!!
