I would love to drop that and just do all online and tutoring from home, but it is a good thing for me to get to know our onsite students prior to working with them around graduation and boards. He works from home and his office is in another state, and he usually goes in once per quarter. They used to pay for him to go in, but that's rarer now. His parents live near his office though so he goes in when he's visiting them anyway.</p> <p>My situation is a little different since I'm a phd student, though my fellowship has a stipend that comes with teaching responsibilities--it's sort of work and sort of school ;) I'm done with classes, so I only go to campus when I have to teach or have meetings/workshops, or sometimes to the library.
