It didn't help that every time I called my mom or MIL, they'd freak out and say, "is it time? should we go to the hospital????" And I would say no, I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to dinner tonight. I kept going to the doctor, to monitor my fluids and blood pressure and everytime the doctor would say "looks like everything is great, she's just not ready!", I'd want to punch them in the throat. I refrained, only because I knew they'd be essential when I was finally in labor. Hahaha. 10 days was the most they'd let me go over my due date. When I was first pregnant I said that it would be great if DS was a week or two late because then my return to work from my maternity leave would line up perfectly with DH being off from teacher for the summer. </p> <p>Apparently DS listened very well! My due date came and went and everyone at work made stupid comments, like asking "are you still pregnant?" Well DUH! Anyway, I worked a full week past my due date waiting and finally was induced at 41 weeks and 3 days because DS was measuring BIG (and he was, 10lbs 9oz). </p> <p>Good luck and hang in there! My LO was 10 days late. By the tenth day, I was prepared to give myself a c-section at home. I kid, I kid. But I was sooooo ready to get labor over with and meet my baby! The wondering what the details of your labor will be is tough. My best advice is to stay busy (within reason, you can't be TOO active). And do all the things you and your SO really enjoy doing together. There is a part of me that just wants the baby to come today but then another part of me that wants to enjoy every last day of "Freedom" before the baby arrives. Waiting for labor is so intense </p>
