Thanks everyone for comisserating.

This was exactly what I DIDN'T want 7 months ago. I didn't want to obsess, or have TTC make me anxious or stressed... but the longer it took, the more anxious I became, the more obsessed I became too.

Ugh. I saw my Gyn about a month or so ago and she was just very dismissive and I don't really trust her judgement. I'm in the process of looking for a new one.

I've been temping orally which I think I'll stick to. As you guys said, it's not about the peaks and valleys so much as staying consistent and looking for O-day.

I've been checking CM and only recording if I have lotiony or EW (which hasn't happened yet). I've also been checking cervical positioning but not recording it... maybe I should?

Right now it's high and open... but my CM is sticky/tacky. =/

It's very anecdotal, but I think there's something to be said for stress. Before we conceived our first child, I was super stressed and obsessing over my charts. I gave it up for a cycle and we got pregnant. I'm charting again now and my cycles are much more regular, even though I ovulate later than normal. I've noticed I'll ovulate even later if I'm staring at my chart all the time.
My temps go all over the place too (my peaks are much wilder than your picture), but my CM is very consistent. I noticed you don't have that recorded. I also use the calendar feature that gives predicted "fertile" days and pay close attention to my CM and use OPKs. I think I remember you posting once about visiting your doctor and they said everything was fine? Maybe try a cycle or two of recording your stats but not really looking at the charts to try and predict your temp rise to see if that changes anything and then call the doctor again?

Ugh, that is so frustrating, I recently had really long cycles too (47 days, 44, etc). like Lady Baltimore said, temping vaginally should help. If it doesnt, I'd recommend calling your obgyn.

Are you temping orally or vaginally? When I switched to vaginal temping, it significantly evened out the peaks and valleys on my chart. It won't make you O any sooner, but it may make your chart easier to read, and will cut down on the number of times you have to ask yourself "is that the beginning of my temperature rise, or will it just be right back down tomorrow?"

My charts always looked like that for the first half. I had 2 successful pregnancies, from ovulating around day 28-30 (42+ day cycles). I know how frustrating it is to have long cycles when you're TTC, but try and hang in there!

:bummed: I'm sorry! I stopped temping because mine looked like that so often (I work overnights, super hard to temp)! I usually ovulate in CD 21 or so but I've had months where it was CD 30/37 and 50  it's so irritating! Is this usual for you and have you spoken to your doctor?

We are starting TTC at the end of this month so I'm sure I'm heading towards this frustration as well, I feel your pain momma :crying:

Feeling angry/frustrated with my body. I'm on CD 27 and egg still hasn't dropped yet. We are on cycle 6.

My BBT chart looks like mountains. Ugh.

I'm fairly certain my last cycle was late O (not 100% sure... it could have been anovulatory). Cervix is high and soft though... so... good sign? I have no idea how to tell if it's open or closed... tried feeling around and can't figure it out.

Here's my infuriating chart. Opinions? I've just been glaring at it.
