Well, I didn't wake him up. He slept until 5:20ish ... one of his monster, 2.5 hour naps. Put him down for the night at 8, and so far, so good!

I will wake LO up from an afternoon nap if it is going to mess up that night's sleep. I prefer not to though.

I wake my lo up if she's napping late. If I don't, she would just sleep through the night then wake up super early.

I feel that it is important to keep a baby on a schedule, so if it requires waking them up from a nap then I will be doing so.

i used to wake my LO up all the time to keep her on a schedule. ah, the good ole days when she was younger and used to nap for a long time. now there is no never a need to wake her up! but if your LO had a rough night, then i would make an exception and just let him sleep.

I only wake her from her afternoon nap if it's passed 4:30pm. We start bedtime at 5:30-6pm and if I can get her up at least an hour before bedtime I can vigorously play with her to tire her out again for bed. It usually works.

We never wake her up from her naps. Her daytime naps are very precious to us and we take advantage while we can. She took a nap at 6:15 last night for 30 minutes and had no problem when we started her normal bedtime routine at 7:30.

Last night, thanks to two inexplicably short, crappy daytime naps, he was definitely OT when he went down (even when I had pushed his bedtime up), and it was the worst night we've had in a loooooong time. So I guess I'll take my chances with a well-rested baby who may want to stay up a little later.

I don't usually wake her up from naps (cause her naps aren't extremely long anyways) but I will in the morning. She usually wakes up @ 7am and I do wake her up around 7:30am if she's still asleep, otherwise it throws her whole day (and mine) off.

yes we do it all the time. most of the time. but if he got his shots today, i'd prolly just let him sleep a little while longer.

Do you ever do this? Baby Y is still asleep for his afternoon nap. I usually try to have him in bed around 7, but at this rate I'll probably have to push bedtime back.

I know some people wake their babies if they sleep past 4 pm or so, but I'm inclined to let him sleep because he got his 6-month shots this morning *and* had a really rough night last night.
