@BabyBoecksMom: Ts sleep was always messed up while sick and for at least a week after while he was a baby. I would prob just wait until she's done a the antibiotics to see if that helps.

@Kemma: hmmmm not sure? She's pretty relaxed about doing anything haha. I think she's getting close to sitting up on her own, so that definitely could be playing a part.

Is your LO gearing up for any developmental stuff like crawling? Sometimes all the developmental stuff can make them extra hungry and really screw with their sleep!

How long has it been going on? I wouldn't worry unless it's been a few weeks. Baby sleep is weird, and there's a 6 mo growth spurt/sleep regression too.

@BabyBoecksMom: I know it's so frustrating because she has random days where she will only wake up once, so I know she can go a good 10 hours without eating. When she wakes up at night though nothing will get her back to sleep except nursing and she eats both sides so I assume it's real hunger and not nursing to sleep, (she puts herself to sleep very well for naps and at the beginning of the night.)

I thought introducing food would help but the night last week she slept all the way through she had no food and two nights she had a good deal of oatmeal before bed that I thought for sure would work and she had awful nights instead. There's no rhyme or reason to her good nights lately.

I think our next thing will be to try having DH go in to soothe her instead of me.

Let me know if you come up with anything tht works!!!

@catomd00: she's not a fan of the paci. Usually, I know she's hungry because she won't fall back asleep if I pick her up (which is how she's acting), but I find it hard to believe that she's hungry because I know she can go all night w/o eating. And I don't think it's a growth spurt because it's been going on for weeks now. Ugh! Sorry that you're going through thr same thing - I hope you get sleep soon!

Have you tried offering her a pacifier or soothing her in some other way first? Usually if my DD rejects that I know she's actually hungry. Unfortunately, sleep has gone to shit for her (she's 6 months) and it started around 4.5-5pmths. She went dr one consistent night feeding to waking 2-3 times to eat.
I'm not sure what our next move is going to be, but we are exhausted! Kind of hoping it will just get better on it's own.

I'm at my wits end. DD2 is now 5 months old and she went from STTN to waking every 2 hours after getting a UTI. She's still on antibiotics, so I don't know if that plays a role (makes her feel blah?), but I need to get her sleep back on track before I get in real trouble at work for being late due to getting no sleep.. Again.

She eats every 2 hours during the day (trust me, she won't change it, even if we only give her bottles). I nurse her to sleep around 7:30pm and then she'll wake every 2 hours, starting from 2am and acting like she's hungry. She has some separation anxiety, so I don't feel comfortable letting her CIO for more than a few min (plus, my 2.5 yr old is a super light sleeper so I don't want to wake her from the baby crying)... But after trying to comfort/rock/bounce/shush for over an hour the past 2 nights, I give in and let her nurse.

She'll eat a lot, go back to sleep, only to wake up 2 hours later. I can't tell if she really is hungry or if it's just a habit, but I really need some help.
