@BabyBoecksMom: Hmm, maybe?? I've been checking for teeth every day but don't see anything yet. She's been "biting" while nursing, though, so that could be it. Thanks for the Tylenol suggestion!

@MungBean: Is she teething?? From what you're describing, that's what it sounds like. Maybe give her some Tylenol before you put her to bed to help make her more comfortable?

@cvbee: I've been doing something similar, where instead of putting her down drowsy, I've been waiting for her to fall completely asleep before putting her back down. Usually I'll just hold her and doze off the couch. It's better than running up and down the stairs every hour, but I'm afraid of setting up some really bad habits :(

@sammyfab: She used to fall asleep on her own, but somewhere in the past month or so, that's stopped. I've noticed she stopped self-soothing, and now she's relying on me to rock and nurse her back to sleep.

I just wonder if there's anything I could do to help her "re-learn" how to self-soothe and put herself to sleep without CIO...

There is a wonder week at around 6 months.

Also, does your LO fall asleep on her own at night?

@MungBean: Mine was doing something similar (throughout this 4th month) and I just started a coping mechanism where at that first wake up I nurse him to sleep and then I keep him at my boob while I watch tv until it is time for me to go bed. Then I transfer him into the crib and he doesn't wake up. Maybe it goes against all the rules, but he stays asleep and I don't lose my mind. I've done it for 3 nights now.

Wonder week is usually our culprits. After a few weeks it gets better. We are smacked dabbed in him nursing almost every hour.

@tequiero21: Haha yeah, I say everything is a growth spurt, too :) We'll see if she actually grows or not! I just think I'm going crazy from the lack of sleep again...

How old is your LO? I'm only experienced with a little one up to 4 months, but we dealt with similar wakings and I'm thinking its the 4 month sleep regression. They say it can hit anywhere between 3-5ish months.

My baby, who is generally a very good sleeper (630PM - 630AM, with one nursing around 3 or 4AM) has been waking up SCREAMING every 30 - 40 minutes these past couple weeks. This is generally from 7PM to about 2AM. OMG, I feel like I'm gonna lose my mind. Basically every half hour, I have to run upstairs and console her. And it's not just little fussing either... it's full-blown screaming and crying.

It's not b/c she's hungry; when I nurse her, I can tell it's just for comfort. I don't think she's teething (I don't see anything, anyways), and she's not sick. Any ideas what could be going on?? I'm so exhausted, tired, and cranky, and I don't want to CIO :(
