I'm waiting for my LO to stop popping up on all fours, at 14 months! It really wakes him up!

Developmental thing for sure. It's so annoying at times! DD has been doing this since 4.5 months when she started trying to crawl.

Oh no I forgot about the 9m sleep regression, he's not even quite 8m yet! He also does not seem fully aware of what's going on. I fear it could last a while though as he seems quite a long way from successfully crawling - he's SO heavy which I think must make it more difficult. He has teased me with 3 weeks of good sleep!

Yup! development happening. DS did this when he started to learn to crawl and pull up. It happened night after night. He was thoroughly upset, but yet, he didn't seem fully awake. Just that he was on fours crying. This coincided with a 9 month sleep regression so sleep wasn't happening for us. It eventually passed though. Hang in there!!

Yup probably just a developmental thing. When he's awake you can encourage him to crawl. Put him down and move away from him to encourage him to crawl to you. Place a favorite toy out of reach, etc.

Yet another sleep post! I tried to do a search for this but wasn't sure what to search for! LO has been STTN for about 3 weeks now (he usually wants to start the day at 5.30, but if that's the first I've seen of him since bedtime then I'm not complaining!)

The last few nights he's been waking up around 2am, on his front. He's usually a back or side sleeper, and only learned to roll back to front a few weeks ago. Last night I saw him on the monitor turn onto his front around 9pm, but he slept there happily til 2ish when he woke up crying. When I came over I could see that he was desperately trying to pull up onto all fours. He wasn't particularly upset, but I then spent 2 hours trying to coax him back to sleep!

I assume this is a crawling developmental thing, but wondering if there's anything I can do to help him - or if it's just a case of wait it out? He does try to pull up into a crawl during the day, but he never gets as close as he does at night - just ends up sliding backwards!
