He's 15 months and he started doing it sometime in the past 2-3 weeks. When I'm sitting on the floor he likes to back up into me and sit down on my lap!

Not until at least 18ish months for us, then all of a sudden he was moon walking and jumping up and down! He didn't master walking until 15-16 months, he's a pretty cautious little guy when learning new things.

LO just started walking backwards a couple of weeks ago at 16 months - she didn't start walking until 13.5 months so it seems to be on par with backwards walking starting around 2.5 months after they begin forward walking.

LO thinks it's hilarious when she does it, as do we of course! She's pretty cautious but always looks shocked when she bumps into a wall! It's a funny milestone I never thought I would notice either but I love it!

I noticed it last week at about 14 months! I noticed because of how many steps she took, giggling, but I can't remember if she'd done that before! Maybe a few steps at a time but not as many as she did that day!

he's just figured it out in the last week or two. he's 14.5 months old and has been walking since 10 months.

btw, he thinks it is hilarious to walk backwards until he hits something.

These seems like a silly post to put in milestones. DD started walking backwards tonight, and like all new things had to do nothing but walk backward all evening until bedtime!

She was cautious and seemed to sense when she was going to run into something, but giggled through all of it, what a goof!

She is almost 13m and began walking 2.5m ago, and her going backwards was something I had never thought of (nor did I ever think she'd think it was awesome!) as something I would notice.

Did you notice when you LO figured out going in reverse?
