I have been waiting to try and it keeps getting pushed back. For personal reasons, I want to have surgery first and that had to get pushed back once we decided to buy an apartment in October. I had this huge girls trip planned for the holidays of 2011 and I knew I didn't want to be pregnant for it or have a newborn. It was an expensive trip and I'd already put money towards it, so I just resigned myself to wait.</p> <p>It was hard, and I do worry that it'll take a while to get pregnant and I've wasted so much time just waiting, but now that we're <i>finally</i> here in 2012 and we can start TTC, I'm soooooo excited!</p> <p>How I got through it was just kind of focusing on other things. I packed 2011 with so many events, parties, get-togethers, and other things that I knew I couldn't do if I was pregnant. For example, in the spring, we went on a vacation to the Caribbean. In the summer, we went white water rafting. In the fall, we had a huge Halloween party. And then finally in the winter was my big trip. I always made sure I had something SOON to look forward to to distract myself from the not-TTCing. That was definitely helpful. I was thinking you were only putting it off because of the inconvenience of moving while pregnant. I used to tell myself that obviously each month it would be a completely different baby you would be conceiving... and we were just waiting for the perfect baby for us. We won't exactly be financially stable until we get to the states. We'll have insurance when we get there, and good medical care - which we don't have here. This is our first month TTC and I'm already regretting putting it off. If it takes us a while to get pregnant I will be so mad at myself for wasting time when we knew we were ready. Honestly... people have babies at inconvenient times ALL the time. If you're ready... maybe you should just go for it. Especially if you're emotionally and financially prepared. Those are the two biggest things.. you can make everything else work. Our move will probably be in March-May, but we are really trying to speed things up in the hope for an Oct/Nov baby. I'm starting to doubt that will happen.</p> <p>It's just so tough to wait, even though we know its for the best. We just want a baby so much!</p> <p>DH and I just started crying today, talking about just HOW MUCH we wanted a baby. It's tough.</p> <p>Anyone else struggling to wait to TTC? Any pregnant ladies that had to wait longer than they wanted to to start trying? Any ideas for how to help cope with baby fever? </p>
