I wanted to have a natural labor, so I was happy to have contractions first. </p> <p>In the end they broke my water at the hospital when I was 5-6 cm dilated. Delivered my LO 6 hours later. I wouldn't mind it happening the same way again for #2 because everything came kind of quickly. With DS, my water didn't break until I was 6 cms. If I had to choose again, I'd prefer my water break right at the beginning of labor so there's no mistaking it! I feel like that's a clear sign that says go to the hospital! Over the weekend I went to the hospital after having some intense contractions and it ended up being a false alarm, we were sent home after 3 hours of sitting in the uncomfortable triage room. It was kind of a bummer! In many ways, it grosses me out to think about my water breaking. Honestly, how to you clean that up while you're in labor? What if it happens on the couch or in a chair that's not the mattress with the waterproof cover!? Yes, these are the things that I'm thinking about!</p> <p>At this point, bring on the contractions. I think I've only had maybe 3 that didn't feel like BH.
