it SUCKS! One time he clomped down and then twisted his head while still being latched. I nearly cried.
I just resort to a bottle or switch breasts if I can stand it. But his newest trick is he grabs my upper arm and pinches HARD. like, I have bruises. :(

One LC I know suggested pinching the baby's nose so it can't breathe.

@HabesBabe: It's not like you hold them there for a few minutes. Just a second or so. And the other option is having your nip bit off. As I said I did the yank them off of me and it hurt the nip.

LO does this, and it's so frustrating! I second @brownie: 's suggestion. Works like a charm.

It took me screaming at him and yanking him off to get him to stop biting me. But it worked really well for us. Kinda sad that we were both in tears.

My la leche ladies swear by pulling the baby in so they can't breath. They will automatically unlatch. That's when you say no and try again.

One thing to note, was that every time teeth came in I had to teach him how to latch correctly again. So I had sore nips from bad latch.

DD did it and I had to pull her off and give her bottles until she was over it.

EEK! P just recently got her 2 bottom teeth and she's "kinda" bit me twice, more was gripey b/c her teeth and was going "da da da" on my nip. For the most part though she always latches correctly. I'm scared for her top teeth!

DS's two bottom teeth have come through, and several times during the day he frantically grabs at my boobs and/or starts rooting, but when he latches on he bites down, hard!

I've tried cheek flicking, saying "No" sternly (all the good that will do at this point, lol), and pulling away, but it still happens about half the time.

I can assume he's not hungry when he does this, but I EBF on demand, and those are his hunger cues. My MIL stopped nursing a BIL at 4.5 months because he did this, but I don't want to stop nursing him yet. But now every time he goes to latch on I tense up!

Any advice? Or commiseration?
