Oh, that is stressful! Sometimes people just don't respond to pumping, but that seems rare. One friend of mine could get a drop or two, nothing more. Another friend only could use a manual pump. Electric pumps were useless for her. Have you pumped when you would be most full?

I'm sorry! Sure this is stressful. Have you tried pumping ones side while your LO nurses on the other? This helps me get more milk esp in the morning.

When I pump multiple times a day I only get between 1-2 ounces. If I only nurse on one side at night and pump the other side in the am I can get 4-5, same with the evening.

Hugs! Pumping can be really stressful. Can you clarify, when you're pumping are you doing it in addition to nursing LO or instead of nursing? I get very little when I pump in addition to nursing. I think that's pretty typical.

I needed more milk to supplement what I pumped at work so I had to add in a 10pm pumping session (LO last nursed at 7pm). It took a few days to get started. At max I was only getting 2 extra ounces.

Does it seem like there is anything mechanically wrong with the pump set up? Are you getting good suction?

I do not necessarily have "low milk supply." I am certain my LO gets enough food when I nurse her. She is gaining weight, has lots of wet diapers, and never fusses/asks for more when she is done eating. She nurses every 3 hours.

However, when I pump, no matter WHAT I DO, I can't ever get more than one ounce.

I find myself stressed and frantic and crying before work after having pumped for nearly an hour and not having even 1 oz of milk between two bottles.

I am drinking MMT, taking a Motherlove tincture, drinking lots of water, etc.

Is it possible that I am just not going to be able to offer pumped milk?
