Our tech at 12 weeks looked and could see the nub VERY clearly. It was definitely parallel to the baby's spine so she was pretty sure it was a girl. I agreed based on what she explained to me. I don't really have any explanation about how it was wrong other than they thought he didn't have a penis, but he did. Potentially my bladder was too full, but who knows. It was probably just an angle issue. It was an early elective scan -- there was no missing it at my anatomy scan.
