But the communication and the ability to do fun stuff and just the personality... the age is awesome. </p> <p>I do not love babyhood. I love my babies, and I love a few things about the infant stage, but I have had two MSPI babies and mostly I just look forward to this stage being over.</p> <p>I thought I wanted 4. Then 3. Now LO1 is 2.5 and LO2 is 7 months, and I love my kiddos to the moon but I'm not sure about having another baby. The idea of not going through the sleep deprivation, potential allergies, and general PITA-ness of the newborn/infant stage is very appealing. If I knew my third baby would be good on breastmilk without crazy elimination diets, a reasonably good sleeper, and just chill, I would be sure. But the track record in happy -go-lucky babies is not great so far.</p> <p>My husband would be totally okay being done now. Children in general. I'm totally having a hard time dealing with the fact we are probably only having two children. </p> <p>When I was little, my favorite book was Cheaper by the Dozen! I was always thinking of my future children's names and never envisioned having a small family. I adore babies and am loving the newborn phase, but we're sticking with one. Part of me is sad that this will be my only teeny baby, but I definitely don't really want another. The first year, I was pretty sure I never wanted to do that again. Having a nearly 2 year old is challenging but I really LOVE being her mom. I think I love kids (my kid especially, ha) more than I love babies. We are now pretty certain we will have another. We needed time to recover from the trauma of a colicky newborn.
