I have tried to make it so my family doesn't always make it so blatantly obvious, but it still happens. HOWEVER, I am also the "star pupil" child...meaning I never got in trouble at school, had straight As, got married and went to college without giving them a hard time....all of that. So, that plays into it.<br /> My little brother is driving my parents insane and so is my young sister. Definitely not my dad's-- not that he didn't like her, but he had less in common with her. My dad's favorite now is whoever brings a grandchild around more. My mom's favorite switches around, I think (she "loves us all the same but in different ways") but I think it goes back and forth between me and my older sister :) </p> <p>It's more obvious now with favorite grandchildren. My parents favor my brother's son, while my sisters and I favor my older sister's son. I always felt my sister (middle child) was my moms favorite. I don't feel like dad favored any one really. And it wasn't bad or anything, its just mom and sister have a different relationship than mom and I.</p> <p>Funny story to prove my point: My sister moved out when she turned 18 and my mom cried and wouldn't speak to her for like a week.
