For me the first movement felt like bubbles in my tummy at 14 weeks. But everybody is different..... so yay if it was movement!

I felt flutters first and then kicks, however I was a lot further along but have an anterior placenta so it has caused me to not feel movement as much as most moms! How exciting!!!

I didn't feel anything til closer to 17 weeks, and it almost felt like a muscle spasm or cramp. It took several times before I realized it wasn't gas, but was the baby! I also thought since it was to the side, it couldn't be her...but lo and behold, she thinks she's in a hammock, and most of her movement is on each side rather than centered or up and down.

I think that's what my first movement felt like. Mine was like three little beats on a drum. Then they went away for 2 weeks!! lol. If it didn't feel like what gas normally feels like to you, it probably was. :) Sweet!

I didn't feel anything like that until 20+ weeks. Before that it felt like bubbles.

When LO moves it feels like a nudge...although in the very beginning, it felt like soda bubbles popping. So it could be!

yes! you can start to feel movement right around 14 weeks. Most first time moms don't recognize it as movement until much later. A fluttering that might feel like gas is also movement!!

I'm 15.5 weeks and still unsure if I'm feeling movement but what I think is moving feels just like that, a finger tapping me from inside.

I'm 14.5 weeks with my first. Last night, I went and laid in the backyard, and I laid on my tummy for a few minutes. After about a minute, I felt like I was being gently prodded from inside where my uterus is. Like a light tap with a finger tip, only longer and from inside. It seems WAY too early, but I've never felt anything like that before. What do you think?

(As an aside, I'm enjoying my last few days of uncertainty as to whether it's a boy or a girl, whether he/she can hear me yet, whether I can feel him/her. Though I REALLY want to find out this little one's name!)
