But after unsuccessfully trying for months, and I started chatting and the spontaneity ran out it was definitely more of a chore and very stressful on both of us. We got pregnant in Month 10, but lost the pregnancy. Trying again after that felt even more like a chore. Sometimes I don't see him for 3-4 days because of work then when we're both home one needs to be sleeping. There were a few times I would get frustrated because I felt like we were missing out on the best chances. My husband would definitely tell you it was all fun for him because he wasn't at all stressed about timing it right. Charting was a chore but once you knew it was time for making a baby it made everything a million more times exciting. My husband works long hours and it required him to come home early from work so we could fit it into our schedule. When we are on our own timetable, it is great, but the added stress of "needs to be tonight" was a lot. Well... not the actual babymaking part ;-) but just watching for all the signs, figuring out my cycle, etc. I know others have said it, but I find it slightly hilarious that we're conditioned at an early age to prevent, prevent prevent, and told it only takes one time and led to be fearful of sex. We went away for the weekend after I got an IUI, and Mr. Bee was sick. But we had to do what we had to do! It definitely felt more like a chore then.
