All the girls in my family were around 6 lbs. I'm petite and my husband is not super tall or anything. I got a lot of hand me downs but bought some newborn stuff expecting a small baby...when I saw her I was shocked at how huge she was...my first thought was "she looks like a sumo wrestler"...she was 8 lbs 8 oz and barely fit into the newborn clothes I bought...what a waste. But LO was born at 8 lbs 13 oz. One of the LC's told me, though, that sometimes women who have long labors with epidurals have babies with inflated birth weights due to the fluids they give you. Olive was 4 lbs 15 oz and was way smaller than I expected! i thought she was going to be big because charlie was big! What about you?
