Amnios are very accurate but ultrasounds are heavily dependent on who is reading them. When i had my L2 scan with a specialist, she said that it's often the OBs who miss things or misdiagnose because they don't do the scans as often as the high risk u/s techs do. But then they typically refer you to the specialist office anyways.

Well, when I was just about 6w, my OB’s office was closed and I was bleeding so I went to urgent care and after multiple ultrasounds they told me the fetus wasn’t developed at all and that I would miscarry. LO is now almost 6 months old!!

LO has a (likely) minor heart defect that was detected through ultrasound, and the initial ultrasound technician gave an incorrect diagnosis. The pediatric heart specialist was able to give us much more information, and the correct diagnoses. Ultrasound was the only way LO’s heart issue would have been discovered and it needs to be monitored so I’m so thankful we had as many ultrasounds as we did!!!

not exactly diagnosed, but they kept saying she wasn't growing well. they would measure my stomach and get me into a panicc that I was measuring small and then send me for ultrasounds, and each time the ultrasound was just fine.

she was born on her exact due date and was 7 lb 10 oz, so she was just fine! haha. they had me all panicked for no reason.

Just wondering how common it is for a baby to be diagnosed with something via ultrasound or amnio but then be born healthy. Seeing a bit of this on other threads! Please comment below with your experiences, or experiences of people you know!
