They were pretty funny looking. I could see all the ridges in their skull and bones in the legs. It was pretty gross. It took about 4 weeks to plump up then they started getting cuter. She has some odd shadows on her face that I don't notice except in pictures. LO is only 9 days old, so I'm definitely biased =) She's born pretty plump and with smooth skin, so she didn't have the wrinkled look at all. The midwife kept commenting on her skin and her little double chin. I think it has a lot to do with size and shape. LO was a huge newborn and had a very round face, so she was cute and chubby from the get-go. My second DD though, she was pretty cute from the start, but definitely got prettier at 3 months too.
