Went off BC not for baby making reasons, had sex that day, told DH we will have to be more careful next time as to not get pregnant but the "damage" was done ;) We were planning on having a baby, just hoped it would be after oir wedding (which we had been planning for November 2012). I read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and went off the pill several months before we started trying. I wasn't surprised but very pleased when it happened on the second month of trying. For #2 I would like to be a little more laid back about it, but honestly, I do know my personality isn't well suited to being too laid back about it! Maybe with #1 here I'll be too distracted. We hope to wait at least a year between them. I have PCOS and hypothyroid and hadnt seen AF in over a year. Went to the acupuncturist for pain and asked him to try to make me more regular. A month later I was pregnant! I was shocked and since I hadn't had a period in a year I had no idea how far along I was. Obviously we are both adults and knew it was a possibility. We wanted to try in a few years so he was just a little early. We had been trying to have a sticky pregnancy for about a year. I finally said "screw it" and stopped taking my fertility medications and took a "break" from TTC. Of course, then I got knocked up.
