My first was born on a Saturday at 37 weeks. My doc, the day before, said that she would be about 6.5 lbs at birth. She was 8lbs 5oz! I am so thankful she didn't go all the way to her due date...or beyond!

Smaller. Much smaller. The ultrasound tech told me they usually come out smaller and that was true for me at least.

Much smaller - they told me to expect at a 7.5 lb baby and she was 5.5 lbs (about 3 weeks early). Now with #2 they're predicting a small baby (around 5-5.5 lbs), and I'm wondering if maybe they'll be off in the opposite direction and she will be huge, since I'm going later than I did with my first.

Exactly the same. The US Tech gave me an estimate at my previous appointment, and told me how much I should expect her to grow each week - she ended up being exactly correct, I was shocked, but completely happy with 7 lb 7 oz :)

I was expecting big with my oldest because he was almost 2 weeks late and he was 8 lbs 7 oz.

I thought my youngest would be in the same ballpark and he was 7 lbs. 9 oz. Still big, but he felt small by comparison.

Much smaller! Only because I had him really early so I was expecting a full term 8.5lb+ baby. I knew he was going to be big! He was almost 7 pounds ( (6.11) at 35 weeks so I guess he still was big.

Much smaller! They had me totally freaked out since I had GD...they kept saying if I went past my due date that he would be enormous. Then when he got stuck, I thought for sure I would be having an 8-9 pound baby. After my emergency C-section, I was really surprised that he was only 6 pounds, 13 ounces!

Bigger, I should have known that I would have an over 8 lbs baby, because all of my sisters had large children. My doctor said she would be surprised if she was 7 lbs and the nurses during my C-section all guessed 6-7 lbs based on my size. She was 8 lbs 10 oz. She was all up in my ribs ;)

About as expected. In the last weeks of my pregnancy, I got a quick ultrasound when I asked if he was head down. During that time, she did a belly measurement and moved him a bit. She guessed that he would be between 7-8 lbs at birth. He was born at 7 lbs. 6oz. two days ahead of my due date.

Everyone who saw me was convinced he was going to be a big baby because I was all belly. The women at my work went so far as to ask if the midwife had my due date right.

He was 7lbs, 6oz and ten days late.
