@petitenoisette: You were right, it hadn't kicked in. But it's kicking my ass now! I feel like hot garbage. But interestingly my boobs are 100% fine.
Had a scan yesterday and baby looked great for 8w4d so all is good so far.

My two successful pregnancies were about the same - never really got sick and just experienced mild nausea. I had two miscarriages in between my two successful pregnancies and one of those gave me terrible morning sickness until the day I had my D&C, which was strange because my beta levels weren't what they should have been since it was a blighted ovum. I remember dry heaving in the Trader Joe's parking garage and never had anything like that with DS or DD (or my first loss).

horrible with number 1 (boy), but went away after first tri. Some vomiting throughout due to reflux. pretty bad with number 2 (girl), more all day nausea/vomiting but honestly was more tolerable than 1. practically no nausea and haven't vomited at all with number 3 and we are TG.

I've gone through 4 first trimesters and I've gotten morning sickness with all but to varying degrees. I never throw up but had different degrees of nausea with each one. The two worst were actually both of the ones that I ended up miscarrying. DS was probably 3rd worse (but I ended up on medication for it so I'm not 100% sure). DD was the easiest but I definitely still felt nauseous all day long with her.

@pachamama: it's so hard to not compare! I'm 7 weeks and I've also had zero breast sensitivity this pregnancy. I did only wean my older daughter about a month ago so I'm like maybe they're just totally desensitized :silly:

Your nausea maybe just hasn't kicked in yet or you'll be lucky and not have any!

I called my OB today because I'm going crazy. 6w+6 and NO breast pain and very very little nausea. I think I'm comparing this pregnancy to #1 too much. I wish I could just relax! I do have other symptoms tho I guess like food tastes like chemicals and I have been more emotional.

Much milder the second time. The first time I never vomited, but had the constantly hung-over feeling, and major aversions, from 5-14 weeks or so. With my second I had some mild aversions and mild nausea from 8-11 weeks or so. Both boys. I also worried about the lack of nausea the second time.

Overall, about the same. I had a girl then a boy. They were different in some ways but overall pretty equal. With my first it lasted longer (8w to 16w) and I threw up quite a bit in the mornings and had cravings/aversions but not completely awful ones. Second it was from 6w-12w so a bit shorter but I had more horrible aversions so I couldn't even prepare or cut up any food. And then I had some MS return in the 3rd trimester with my second (though not as bad) so I started throwing up eggs in the AM so had to switch back to carbs.

It was significantly worse with dd2, my third pregnancy - vomited everyday from the day I found out I was pregnant (roughly 8 weeks along) to about week 25. Then just nausea the rest of the time. My first two pregnancies (first is dd1, second was a boy and ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks) were about the same - occasional nausea, a handful of vomits.

@Boopers: vomited every day!! My lord. I never came close with #1 but had a general foggy, hangover-ish nauseous weeks 6-13 with him.
I'm 6.5 weeks have have no breast pain which is weird and less nauseous. Naturally I'm freaking out and thinking the worse.

Far worse with #2 than #1, but I was also on progesterone supplements with #2 for 10 weeks. Even after those 10 weeks, I felt far sicker with #2. I had constant heartburn and just felt sick all day every day.

It's hard for me to answer because I vomited almost every day from 6-17 weeks with my first and had some food aversions, but I didn't feel as terrible all day long like I did with this second pregnancy.

With this second one I never once vomited but my nausea and food aversions were overall worse, especially by the afternoon and evening. I could barely function by dinner time which was very difficult with a toddler running around!

ETA: both are boys so in my case the sex of the baby didn't affect anything!
