I gained a ton of weight after high school, didn't have any habit of physical activity, didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, was coming off a really shitty childhood. I look back with increasing awe that he liked me all those years when I really did not like myself. I fixed myself up, for the most part. I helped him get more responsible with money, and handle conflict a little better, and be a little more confident in who he was.
