So my husband really, really stepped up. It's been awesome. He's also really thrown himself into this new cycling team he's just joined, and he's tried really hard to make sure that it doesn't impact me too much. In different ways. First time he was overly cautious and attentive to every little thing. This time, he has longer hours/commute with his job now but still comes home and takes over 100% so that I can rest and get my me-time, etc. He's not as overly worried about things I eat or do, etc. since it's our second time around. Plus, I had a really easy pregnancy, I felt awesome the entire time, so there really wasn't anything extra I needed help with. He works a ton, but when he's home, he's super dad. First time he had a very stressful job and worked insane hours so I never even saw much of him. With the second he had moved to a much better job and also he knows full well our toddler is a handful. So yes, he helped a lot! With the first two losses, he held my hand the entire time and put up with my horrible hormonal mood swings and crying fits. With LO #1, he would have dinner waiting for me when I got home (and the poor guy didn't realize how nauseous cooked broccoli made me feel). He really helped out with chores around the house. With the subsequent losses, he was just as awesome as he was with the first few. Now that I'm pregnant again, he's amazing at taking LO and letting me rest...especially in the first trimester when I was super sick. I keep telling him how much I appreciate him and he tells me im the one doing the hard work growing his baby. I never thought he would be a jerk or anything, but he just amazes me everyday. I am so grateful for him. It's been a rough pregnancy and he does tons of research and lots of grocery shopping for things to help me feel better. He basically did everything around the house and for the dog when I got pregnant. Then our MFM really freaked him out that I shouldn't be doing ANYTHING so he took up all the cooking, too. But also very strict, so sometimes I wished he'd care a bit less :) He made me eat healthy food when I had really bad veggie aversion, and never let me skip prenatals. Which he would NOT taste to see just how gross they are! DH always took pretty good care of me, but he def took up a lot of the cleaning duties (he cooks, I clean usually) throughout the pregnancy and even now! He went to all the classes with me and even suffered through registering at the store! DH never complains when I'm just a useless lump! lol He cooks on the weekends and I'm supposed to do the dishes, but half the time he'll end up doing them too. He does say that I've been a fairly easy pregnant wife to deal with, whatever that means! I guess my mood has def. improved since getting pregnant, and I don't complain tooooo much, I haven't had any outbursts, or crazy requests.
