We only have three bibs and three burn cloths so far. Hoping I get more at my work shower, otherwise I will get them once I complete our registry after said shower.

Thanks for everyone's input! I bought a pack of 12 thin little washcloths at TJ Maxx today - 12 for only $4.99! :) We'll see if we need any more than that till after baby gets here!

@shopaholic: we use baby washcloth for sooo much, washing her eyes, face and hands with every morning, wiping up spit up, holding over a boob that randomly lets down and drying her bum off after every diaper change (helps prevent rashes). So we have tons but we got dollar store packs so didn't spend too much and we use them all.

Oh I recognize some of these usernames from Weddingbee! My LO is 12 weeks today. I have 15-20 bibs. I do laundry every 3-4 days depending on what's going on, but I recently went out to buy more bibs because I feel like we blast through them. I keep 3 bibs in his diaper bag constantly in case he spits up and soaks through it and I need backups. I've also accidentally dropped them on the ground and had to go to backups. My baby has about 7 bottles a day. Sometimes he's not too messy and we can use the bib again, but sometimes he spits up and then that bib goes into the hamper. I'd say I use at LEAST 3-4 bibs a day.

As for the washcloths, I have the A&A ones and in the beginning, it was actually too big to use on his little body. I also bought 2 packs of the Target Circo brand ones that are really thin. They work fine for us. I have maybe 12 washcloths, but I only use 2 for each bathtime (one for face and one for body) so I never run out.

I keep forgetting to put bibs on ds but he's already such a drooler at 12w. He also spits up so burn rags are a must. I ended up cutting some receiving blankets I got as hand me downs and am constantly running out if them. We also have a ton of washcloths and use 2-3 per bath every day. I actually like the smaller cheap ones better than the larger A&A ones we have. Don't really use those yet. Maybe when he's older

I was baby laundry every other day so one package of washcloths is fine, we have way too many. Bibs we honestly have 20+ and we need them, she's a spitter so we go through 5-10 a day! I would hold off until you know if you need them though. We hvae some pretty ones and some plain ones we got in a pack of 10 from Target.

Boogie wipes are awesome!!! I have them everywhere around the house.

We go through a ton of bibs because LO is teething. I also like have a lot of burp clothes since LO spits up sometimes and also our dogs steal them so they are sometimes hard to find.

@shopaholic: It all depends on if your baby drools a lot. My baby went througha heavy drooling stage so we have over 20 bibs and over 20 burp cloths, we have about 25 wash cloths but some of them are used as cloth wipes

we literally have 20 bibs and I do laundry once a week (I work out of home so try to do it only once a week). I love A&A dribble bibs, so soft. We probably have 8 of those as well as 10 carters bibs of different variety. When he started drooling, he would soak his outfits unless wearing a bib. Now he just soaks the bib. He didn't use a bib until 3-4 months though.

We had so many burpclothes and I thought it was absurd, but he started spitting up around 4 months and I need them constantly. Again, love the A&A burpy cloth ones - so much bigger and more absorbent than other brands.

I have 10-15 washclothes. We don't use them for bathing but instead use them all the time to clean hands after eating solids, clean his nose when it's runny (often) clean bum when he has a diper rash (rare). We have Target cheapie ones and I like them better than the pottery barn ones i have.

Also add some boogie wipes to your amazon completion - we go through so many of them!

My 3-month old spits up constantly and soaks his bibs during every feeding. I probably go through at least 6 bibs a day - and at least as many burp cloths (sometimes more)!
I bought 3 packages of the Dundee plain white cloth diapers to use as burp cloths and they have been a lifesaver. Inexpensive and they get softer with each wash. I'm still searching for a great bib...I have the Aden & Anais muslin ones, tons of Green Sprout terrycloth and a few 'fancy' bibs that were gifted...

I need more bibs.. My fave is the magnificent baby on because it's magnetic, but at $10 a pop I only have the one she was gifted.

We have way too many wash clothes, but my absolute faves are the blooming bath ones. They're SO SOFT!

My DS is probably more of an exception but he spit up a lot and was EBF. We probably have 15-20 bibs and have 12 burp cloths. I remember feeling like I was doing wash all the time to keep them in rotation. It wasn't unusual to go through at least 4 burp cloths in a day and probably at least one bib a feeding. When he was younger he ate around 6-7 times a day. Again, this is more unusual than most babies I think. You could always wait and see what your baby is like with these things.

So thanks to a lot of you who commented on my "Amazon stock up" post! There were a lot of responses including washcloths, bibs, and burp cloths.

We currently have:
- 4 A&A Dribble Burpy Bibs
- 5 Frenchie terry/plastic (underneath) bibs
- 4 A&A Muslin Washcloths

I *think* I have a lot of bibs now?
What do you think?

And how many washcloths and what kinds are you always using? I was just imagining the A&A ones to use for bath-time bathing? Should I get cheapie ones and how many?
