We have a Whirlpool top-loader, and it works fine. Ideally, I'd like to get front-loaders, just so I can stack them. Our laundry space is really small, so both of our machines sit behind the wall and it was a pain in the butt to get them in there. It involved us basically benchpressing the dryer and sitting it on the washer to shimmy back and lower it behind the doorway.

We have a front load and I don't love it. I much preferred when I lived with my sister and we owned a stainless steel / agitator-less top load. It was awesome and didn't hold water like the front loads do.

We have these Samsung energy-star high-effeciency ones:
http://www.lowes.com/pd_407168-149-WF363BTBEUF_4294670151__?productId=4009949&Ns=p_product_qty_sales_dollar|1&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNs%3Dp_product_qty_sales_dollar%7C1&facetInfo=

They are so purdy!! :D
I like them a lot; the only complaint I have is that I bought them because they are supposed to be super quiet, but I don't think they are really any less quiet than other washers/dryers. We have a second floor laundry room though, so that might amplify noise, I'm not sure. Also, the washer/dryer each play a little song when the cycle is done, which is annoying if you do laundry doing LO's naptime. But, it's easy to turn off the song (and all sound), so you don't have to deal with beeping, etc.

We just got an LG top loader combo and really like it. You could not have paid me enough to get a front loader. They start to smell so bad, and leaving the door open to air it out is not an option with little kids.

We have Frigidaire energy efficient front loaders - we like them. Our washer/dryer just died, and it was a single unit - which was annoying because the dryer was fine, but since it was a single thing we had to replace it all. We also have our units on the second floor in a closet outside of our bedrooms so we needed to be able to stack them.

The washer drips a little bit of water every time we open it which is annoying, but other than that, we really like ---- they're digital, so it's really nice to be able to set a timer or delay, and see exactly how much time things are taking.

Actually - i have a pic - here they are. So sad i took a pic, but we got these instead of new summer clothes. oh well ;)

We have LG front loading HE washer and dryers. I like them fine. I just didn't want to spend $500 each on the raised drawer thing to make it a better height. So that kind if annoys me, but I might just get someone to build a shelf higher for it myself (been saying that for 2 years.

Our washer is on the fritz; it started leaking mid cycle last night. It will cost us $84 to replace the part when we paid $150 for it! Gr. We bought it from a co-worker of DH's.

Anyway, I think within the next year it'll crap out so I want to start researching and keeping an eye on pricing now.

Which washer & dryer do you have? Do you like it?

Do you have a front or top loading? I've only ever had top loading and my mom has a front load and hates it.
