The diapers get washed twice so it uses more water to put in regular clothes with the diapers and do 2 washes. We use Dropps (after a fail with Rock n Green...buildup issues) for diapers and DS's cloths. For DH and I, I either use Dropps, Sun &amp; Earth, or 7th Gen. I stocked up on Tide Original powder before they replaced it with the new Ultra version. I know you don't have to be as particular with detergent and 100% cotton diapers, but I do want to use a detergent that protects my investment as much as possible. My question is, do I really have to switch the detergent that I was our clothes in as well? </p>
